Oh the Places You'll Go!1

It's hard to describe the excitement that erupts as you search and stumble across the places these women walked, talked, laughed, and cried. It's such a joy to read the words in the letters and in Anne Lister's journal and picture how the stories unfolded. Whether you are walking the stairs of Langton Hall, staring off toward Manchester from the front steps of the White House at Blackstone Edge, or standing over the grave of your favorite Tuft-hunter, you can relive the stories and connect to these interesting women.

Check out all the graves, houses, and miscellaneous locations from Mariana's life (and her friends & family) that I visited in my adventures. Use the map below to chart your own adventure, or check out the pictures to wander Mariana Land from the comfort of your own home.

Mariana Land

Grab your Google Maps and get ready for a stroll in Mariana's shoes that will take you all over the UK! This is a growing list of all places, significant or insignificant, in the story of Mariana that I have either visited or plan to visit. Some places may still be standing, while others are where a building, house, or estate once stood. As I build this map, I'll include details in the descriptions. All the significant locations will have dedicated pages on this site with more details. If you know a place that is not on the list yet, let me know! Happy Exploring in Mariana Land!
