Mariana had four sisters and one brother, with only two siblings having children. Her sister, Mrs. Milne, had five children, and her brother Steph, had six children. Out of these eleven children, Mariana had only one niece, who was also named Mariana Percy Belcombe. Mariana had one wife, Anne Lister, and one husband, Charles Bourne Lawton.
There is evidence in Anne Lister's journals that she may have had an intimate relationship with Willoughby Crewe, but that cannot be confirmed nor denied at this time. Besides the content in Anne's journals and the marriage certificate for her marriage to Charles, little else is known about her possible relationship before or after Anne Lister.
While Mariana had an extensive family tree and many friends and acquaintances, this page will focus on those closest to her and those with information that I have researched. Due to the nature of cousins marrying cousins and her family members obtained through marriage, some people could be considered family or friends.
